Parent Helpers Needed

Mrs. Baralt is looking for parent volunteers to help assist and supervise third graders while filming around campus for their explorer movie projects next Wednesday, 4/20 and Thursday 4/21. Message from the PE team about Field Day

The lower division is excited about this year’s installment of Field Day. We have put together what is sure to be a fun event for all. Your child will be assigned to a team designated by a color. The students will be split by grades into six K-2 teams and six 3-4 teams. We ask that your children wear their team’s colored athletic clothing and proper athletic shoes to school on Field Day, April 5th, 2010. Please do not feel required to purchase any new clothing for this event; we simply ask that your child be identifiable, for example, as the Red Team or in Shorecrest Spirit Wear. We appreciate your cooperation and support of this enjoyable event.

The coaches will coordinate, organize, assist and instruct all volunteers on their assigned event. Field day for the students will begin promptly at 10:00 and last until 11:30. Message from the PE department

Just a quick reminder for all, especially for the EC-Gr. 8 PE classes that'll be walking on the track during the day on Fri. March 25 for Relay For Life -- please make sure that all participants are wearing sunscreeen (and wearing hats, if possible). We're expecting another FL sunshine day.

We've been sharing sun safety messages in conjunction with our mission/education work for ACS and Relay For Life. We had a great response today to the sunscreen packets we provided to participants at the junior invitational track meet, but the demand wiped out the supply of sunscreen packets we had set aside for Friday. So please remind our students to come extra prepared.

On-line re-enrollmenet is delayed

On-line re-enrollment will now begin on February 25, 2011. We were originally planning to begin re-enrollment on February 22^nd; however, as this is a new system, we would like to take a few extra days to ensure that the system is working properly for our families. Our goal is to make this process as simple and as easy to use as possible. The deadline for submitting your on-line re-enrollment forms will now be March 11th. You will be receiving an updated email with your On-line Re-enrollment user id and password. Please store the user id and password in a safe location as you will have the opportunity to use them again in the future. We will continue to update you about the on-line re-enrollment process through email, so please add Registrar@Shorecrest.org to your address book. "American Dream" Program Info

On Friday, February 25, the third grade classes will perform our "American Dream" program at 8:30 in the Janet Root Theater.

Each third grader needs to wear their costume to school on Thursday and Friday but also needs to bring a change of clothing. Please send the regular uniform as a change of clothing on Thursday and "spirit wear" for them to change into on Friday.

The cake should be on a piece of waxed paper so that it can fit snuggly between its border state. Please drop off your cake between 7:30 and 8:15 in the 3rd grade hallway on Friday morning. Please be prompt so that the parents who have volunteered to assemble the cake can be finished in to to be able to enjoy the program as well.

Refreshments will be served after the program that is expected to take a little less than an hour. We will be eating the U.S. cake a that time. The cake will be served in the hallway and taken to the picnic benches outside to be eaten.
